There will be three comedians each evening and the bar will be open before, in between the acts and at the end of the evening.

Seating is unreserved except when you have a party of 6 people in which case we will allocate a table to accommodate your entire party.

Please email comedy@woodfordcom.com if you wish to be added to our mailing list about future events.

Tickets are £12 each and available from our TicketSource account – a small booking fee applies.

The comedians for the 1st November 2024 are Clayton Jones, Peter Brush and Pete Teckman

Age guidance 18+yrs

Clayton Jones

Clayton Jones has an observational
comedy act which he considers marriage, kids, being mixed race, text messages, school life, and growing up in London but
now living in Lancashire!

“This dude has funny bones” Romesh Ranganathan

Peter Brush is a highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes. He unassumingly takes the stage with his slight bespectacled frame and scruffy hair, before consummately conquering it with an arsenal of razor-sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion.

This is a man whose lack of stage presence, lack of cool, and turned-down-to-two demeanour all reverse expectations and make him compellingly hilarious.

“ His deadpanning and quiet delivery draws in the audience and the first-class gag writing, complex and logical call-backs and dry, self-deprecating commentary had waves of laughter rolling through the room”

Pete Teckman arrived on the stand-up scene somewhat later in life than many of his peers but since his debut in 2009 he has progressed rapidly into a popular comedian who can be relied upon to produce laughs from any audience.

With a mix of self- deprecating and observational humour drawn from his life experiences, his comic stories are punctuated with a liberal helping of well written jokes and the occasional flight of surreal fancy.

Alex Boardman
Kevin Dewsbury

Alex Boardman is now one of the most sought-after acts in the country due to his ability to interact with any audience and to seemingly conjure something out of nothing. His free-flowing style and natural charm breeze through in performances.

“Very Funny, a rare mixture of wit and charm”
The Guardian
“Improvised witticisms from the acerbic Mancunian. A veteran of the Madchester phenomenon, his loved-up reminisces and tall tales can lead anywhere on any
given night.”
The Times
“Call the cops, double funny”
Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays)
“You are very funny my friend.” Eric Cantona

Mark James has worked professionally for over a decade, on land and at sea in over 40 countries
worldwide.
He combines expert sleight of hand magic with comedy, juggling and other vaudevillian variety skills
to create a unique and amazing show. His act is versatile and can be tailored to any situation,
regularly headlining at holiday centres, cruise ships, comedy clubs and private events all over the
globe.
Mark regularly performs at The World Famous Magic Castle, Hollywood as well as providing magic on The Orient Express.
Mark’s show is a non-stop laugh riot that will have you on the edge of your seat and giggling like a
child. It’s also completely clean too.

Mark provides much humour and clever magic tricks. – The British Theatre Guide
A very funny man with a huge personality. – Keeping It Live Magazine

Kevin Dewsbury is from Cheshire, though often mistaken as being from Yorkshire due to
his ridiculous northern accent.
His material ranges from storytelling, observations on daily life, and one-liners. He also has a great ability to mimic most accents.

He has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in sell out shows and has toured UK theatres as the support act for top comics Tim Vine and Lucy Porter.
He has also been the support act for Michael McIntyre, Omid Djalili and Russell Howard.
