We realise that the acronyms and roles of three of our community organisations can be confusing, especially to new residents. We hope this brief explanation is helpful.

Woodford Community Council – this is a residents’ association concerned with general community matters. Residents in the origanal village and the Garden Village are automatically members.

Woodford Neighbourhood Forum – this is a legally constituted group which formed the Woodford Neighbourhood Plan for the original village and the Plan having been made in 2019 it continues to produce monitoring reports. The Garden Village was excluded from WNF by Stockport Council at the specific request of Harrow Estates.

Woodford War Memorial Community Centre – this is a registered charity and an elected committee manages the upkeep and hire of the community centre. Residents in the origanal village and the Garden Village are automatically members.
