Our fabulous annual Macmillan coffee morning will this year be held on Saturday 27th September 2025 in the large hall.
This is always a lovely, warm and friendly event so please come along and enjoy some good company, plenty of chats and lots of scrummy home-made goodies (doggy bags supplied for extra slices of heaven to take home!)- all in a vital cause.
The Woodford Centre committee work very hard for this event, lots of baking gets done, bunting gets hung and our china mugs get washed in readiness. It’s all go but not an exclusive club, all baking donations are much appreciated and gladly accepted. If you can help in this department, please contact Paula, she will be delighted to hear from you.
Paula is not only The Centre’s very busy Secretary she is also an amazing baker. Bara Brith, roulades, sponge cakes, chocolate cakes, vegan cakes, you name it Paula produces it. The rest of us, meanwhile, need to lie down in a darkened room after rustling up some flapjack and a few scones!
Jesting aside, on a serious note, when we say a lot of baking goes on, we are not joking. We all do our bit with good heart knowing that it all contributes to a lovely event and raises funds for a vital charity. A charity that does so much for those in the distress and often crisis that a cancer diagnosis brings, so thank you in advance for your support.
